Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do you need to create my project, and therefore when should i book the session?

One month before the date you want the session to happen at least. There is project managing, location finding, or studio set creating for your ideas, in order to have the best results for You. The latest would be 2 weeks before the date of the shoot.

How are the photos from our session delivered?

I deliver the photos to you as High-Res digital files online. My website is integrated with Printing Companies, so after downloading the photos, you can select to print albums, prints, canvases, cards and other things without having to leave the page. All you need is just one click away.

How long does it take to deliver the photos?

In the week after the photoshoot, i will be sending you the gallery to make your selection of the photos you want me to edit. After i receive them, you will have the final edits in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

I love the photos and i wand to purchase extra. How does this work?

It’s always fun to select more photos and i am glad you liked them so much you want more! I offer a package of 10 photos for 250$ OR 20 photos for 320$. If you want to purchase individual photos the value is 30$/photo.

Will i receive the Raw files of the photos as well?

There is a reason to Not send the RAW files and that is because they do not represent the final result of my work. The final product you are booking me for, is a work of hours editing and perfecting your images. A RAW file does not represent that.

Do you require a Retainer upon booking? If yes how much?

Yes. The amount for the retainer is half the cost of the project. Each project is tailored to your needs, so the prices fluctuate for every client. The retainer money goes towards the saving the date for your session, and the hours spent searching and creating your project which are payable hours.

How long do your sessions last?

Every project is different, it depends on how many people i am shooting, (individuals, couples, family). Sessions start at 1 hour, and can be up to 2 to 3 hours, again depending on what kind of session we shoot.

What’s your style of Photography?

I would describe it as Cinematic Documentary and Creative. I love capturing as many natural photos as possible, so my sessions are not very posed forward. (for couples and families) . I want to showcase your connection, the laughter, authenticity, and what feels natural. Genuine interactions and moments of Love.

Do I get the copyright/ownership of the photos?

Eleni Kouvelou Photography LLC, holds the Copyright. The client can use the Photos for Personal projects like printing (with a print release form) post them on socials and share with friends and family, but is prohibited from any publication, selling, or Commercial use of them without the photographer's permission.

May I use your photographs for merchandising?

Merchandising requires a separate license agreement and fee. Merchandising is the use of your photographs in products. For example, books, calendars, prints, notecards, and other products made for distribution or sale / profit.

Do you have a studio? What locations do you use?

As a small business, my studio for now is located in my Home Garage. I can create every Indoor project needed there, but I do shoot on location a lot as well. Depending on the Project, it can be your own home, or an outdoorsy cute location, in the city or by a lake or in a field.

What other services do you offer?

My niche is Portrait Photography, and that includes Couples, Engagement, Elopements, Maternity, Families, and Individuals for Business portraits, Personal Branding, Creative, Seniors, Modelling Portfolios. To sum up, I Shoot People :P

I don’t know what to wear in our session, do you help with wardrobe?

Yes I do help with choosing the outfits. Colour theory is huge, and the wrong colour and style of an outfit can make or break the photos. Depending on our project, I will give you information about what outfits would be perfect to elevate our session. I have a few items in my client closet for the ladies, so that is always available if it fits the style, although I do not have anything for the men yet.

Should I have my hair and make-up done professionally?

The short answer is Yes. It is recommended but not always needed. Again, depending on what kind of project we are shooting, but more often than not, having amazing hair that flows and beautiful make up that shines your best attributes, it’s always a plus to create amazing photos.

The weather is getting bad. What will happen to our session?

First of all, will the weather be an attribute to our project? If yes, I am game if you are. A little rain never hurt nobody, and the photos will be like a movie scene you will cherish for ever. Same with a little bit of snow. Living in Kansas City of course, we know how weather can be. We will be in touch before the session, and we can make plans right then and there. If it’s not possible to shoot, then we transfer the session to the next available date.
